Your Auckland insurance broker

Kapi Insurance is an Auckland-based insurance broker. We arrange car, home, contents, boat, motorcycle and trailer cover for people from Auckland down to Dunedin. The insurer pays us a commission when a policy is placed. Your premium stays the same as going direct.

After that, we stay involved. Annual reviews. Renewal check-ins. A broker who answers when your circumstances change.

## Why Kapi Insurance exists

Buying insurance direct from the insurer is standard. So is using a comparison site that ranks on price. Neither one checks whether the cover matches what you own.

Renewal letters get paid without being read. A comparison site will tell you which policy is cheapest. It will not tell you what that policy leaves out.

Kapi Insurance exists to do that reading. We go through the wording, find the exclusions, and match the cover to what you own.

## How we work

1. **You tell us what you need**
  Fill in a short form or ring us. We ask a few questions about your car, home, contents, boat, motorcycle or trailer.
2. **We check the policy wording**
  Your broker reads the wording and the fine print, then recommends cover that fits what you own.
3. **We stay on at renewal**
  At renewal we review the cover and update your sum insured if it needs it. We also look for changes that could leave a gap.

## Our credentials

We hold a financial advice licence and belong to an independent dispute resolution scheme. Both are checkable.

  Kapi Insurance is a licensed Financial Advice Provider (FSP1012258) regulated by the [Financial Markets Authority](https://www.fma.govt.nz) (FMA).
- **IFSO member**
  We're a member of the Insurance and Financial Services Ombudsman scheme. If we can't resolve a complaint, IFSO can step in independently.
- **Where your cover sits**
  We arrange cover with insurers licensed to operate in New Zealand. The policy is between you and that insurer, and we keep reading the wording on your behalf.
